Dawn Magennis
Payroll Specialist & Fractional Controller
Dawn is a Payroll Specialist and Fractional Controller at TFG. She supports clients by delivering expert payroll processing and compliance across Canadian, U.S., and ExPat groups. She also drives financial clarity through accurate reporting and analysis, and mentors teams in payroll, HR, and bookkeeping best practices.
In addition to her payroll expertise, she contributes to process improvement initiatives, supports financial operations, and provides fractional controllership to help clients scale efficiently. She also offers HR support, including onboarding and policy guidance, as part of her well-rounded client service. An Associate Member of the National Payroll Institute since 2016, she brings a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.
What she enjoys most is solving complex financial and payroll challenges, building streamlined processes, and empowering teams to grow and succeed.
Outside of work, she loves reading, lounging by the pool, and walking along the beach. Originally from Ontario, she now lives in Nova Scotia with her husband and is soon to be a first-time Grandma.
